No two days are alike
Ann Neuts was looking for a new job in business intelligence in 2016. That’s when she first came into contact with Visser & Van Baars and had a chance to start working as a freelance reporting consultant at Aquafin. ‘What I like most about my job is how diverse it is.’
The job
Aquafin oversees the financing, construction and infrastructure of water treatment plants in northern Belgium. Ann says, ‘I did so many different tasks related to data reporting while I was working for Aquafin.’
During the years she spent there, Ann had many different opportunities to put her skills to work for the company. ‘In the IT department, I was mainly working on creating data models. Eventually, I also provided support. I also worked for a while issuing reports.’
Later, Ann’s job focused more on business-related topics. ‘I worked closely with the finance department as a data reporting specialist. I was working really hands-on with the business side of the company then to see which reports helped manage the business more effectively. It was my job to create those reports and offer support to my colleagues.’
After the job
At the end of 2020, Ann learned that her time at Aquafin was unfortunately coming to an end. ‘I wish I could have stayed for longer there. But I took comfort in the fact that I got three phone calls from Visser & Van Baars in that exact same week. With three solid proposals for follow-up projects.’
Ann had first heard about the consultants at Visser & Van Baars when she was looking for a job in the past. ‘I wanted to look for a new project about four years ago. I didn’t really know much about Visser & Van Baars back then. Ultimately, I wound up getting in contact with them, and I must say, I’ve never had any regrets about deciding to work with them.’
Ann says, ‘Visser & Van Baars is more than just a recruiter, like a lot of other companies. I’ve worked with a lot of different companies, and I can’t think of any downsides to working with Visser & Van Baars. The contact is always very friendly. Even if I have a difficult question or an issue. They always take care of it right away.’
