The province of Flevoland is known for Bataviastad, Walibi Holland and of course the old fishing village of Urk. In addition to these sights, Flevoland has two major cities, Lelystad and Almere. Flevoland is a very young province and officially exists since 1986. Large meadows and lots of water are characteristic of Flevoland.
