A data analyst is close to a data scientist but is different in reality. A data analyst is someone who processes data (data) into information within a company or institution. There is a substantial difference between data and information. We are talking about data when it concerns a large stream of data that cannot yet be interpreted or understood by people. For this, this data must first be processed into information. Data is only seen as information if there is news value or meaning for the recipient.

A data analyst generally deals with the following activities:

* Preparation of reports
* Collect and organize relevant data
* Checking data for correctness
* Initiate, shape and prepare investigations
* Conducting quantitative and qualitative research
* Providing advice to management based on data
Data Analyst education
To get started as a data analyst you must have completed at least one of the following courses:

Furthermore, as a data analyst you must have knowledge of relevant statistical analysis methods and be able to handle computer programs such as:
* Microsoft Excel

* Tableau
* SQL (Structured Query Language)
